Wednesday, Union City's Growing Together Team came together for a powerful Earth Day event as part of the Greatest American Cleanup initiative! Employees from Union City Public Services, along with dedicated volunteers and our amazing Councilmember Dr. Christina Hobbs, rolled up their sleeves to clean up the wooded area along Shannon Blvd.

This drainage area is part of the critical watershed leading to Windham Creek, which flows into the Flint River. Protecting this area is vital to preserving our local environment and water quality.
Thanks to the hard work of all involved, we were able to remove:
  • 45 tires
  • 3 full pickup truck beds of debris
Union City is proud to participate in this statewide effort spearheaded by the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, and we're already excited for the next year!
