During the March 24th 2026 regular city council meeting, Mayor and Council, unanimously (5-0), adopted a 180-day moratorium on accepting certain applications, while the zoning ordinance rewrite is underway. The moratorium will impact the acceptance, processing, and approval of applications for zoning map amendments/rezonings, text amendments and conditional use applications.

What We Do
The Buildings & Grounds Division maintains, repairs, improves, cleans, and manages City facilities and their essential building systems.
Our responsibilities include:
Directing the construction and installation of necessary equipment and facility improvements.
Performing and overseeing routine maintenance and repairs of City facilities.
Providing janitorial and cleaning services to maintain clean, sanitary, and presentable City facilities.
Maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, sprinkler, and mechanical systems.
Managing remodeling and renovation projects for City facilities.
Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing facility repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and improvements.
Performing carpentry and building construction work, including fence installation and repair, sheetrock, tile, roofing, window and glass repair, masonry, door repair, electrical work, water heater installation, and ceiling repairs.
Supporting safe, clean, reliable, and functional City facilities through proactive maintenance, cleaning, and timely repairs.
