Union City celebrated Homecoming Week with two back-to-back events that brought residents, families, and city staff together for fun, creativity, and connection.

Last Tuesday evening, the community gathered for the exciting Parent and Coach Kickball Game, a friendly matchup filled with laughter and hometown spirit. Parents and coaches hit the field ready for competition, showing that teamwork and good sportsmanship extend far beyond the classroom and the sidelines. The energy was contagious as neighbors cheered from the stands, creating an atmosphere filled with smiles, high-fives, and lighthearted fun. Events like this continue to demonstrate Union City's commitment to fostering strong relationships among families, schools, and the broader community.

Then last Wednesday, the mood shifted from playful to peaceful during Jazz and Paint in the Garden. Residents traded sneakers for paintbrushes and enjoyed an evening of smooth jazz surrounded by the natural beauty of the garden. Participants created their own masterpieces while connecting with others in a relaxed and inspiring setting. The soft music, creative energy, and sense of togetherness made it a perfect midweek escape.

Together, both events reflected the true spirit of Union City, where community pride, creativity, and connection come to life. Homecoming Week once again proved that when Union City gathers, it is not just an event, it is a celebration of the people who make this City feel like home.
