During the March 24th 2026 regular city council meeting, Mayor and Council, unanimously (5-0), adopted a 180-day moratorium on accepting certain applications, while the zoning ordinance rewrite is underway. The moratorium will impact the acceptance, processing, and approval of applications for zoning map amendments/rezonings, text amendments and conditional use applications.

This nationally recognized program provides advanced leadership and management training for public safety professionals, strengthening the skills needed to lead with excellence and serve communities effectively. The Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command (SPSC) is an intensive 10 week (400 hour) leadership and management education program that helps prepare experienced law enforcement professionals for success in senior command positions.
