City of Union City Receives $11,236.00 from the Fulton County Arts and Culture, Board of Commissioners for FY26 Fulton County Arts Grant
(Union City, GA) - The City of Union City is excited to announce that it has been awarded the FY26 Fulton County Arts Grant. This achievement is made possible through the invaluable support of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and Department of Arts and Culture. These funds will support the City’s second annual Cultura Y Sabor- Hispanic Heritage month celebration in September, and a holiday cantata in December. Both events will celebrate culture, arts and host live musical or dance performances.
"This grant allows us to further enrich our community through the power of art”, said Mayor Vince Williams. “The Council and I are excited that our second Hispanic Heritage Month event will provide residents with a unique and engaging way to celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture with our neighbors. It’s a testament to our commitment to building a vibrant and connected community.”
City Manager Sonja Fillingame emphasized the significance of the project: "It is a vital investment in our community's future. By continuing to prioritize arts-based recreation, we are sending a strong message that creativity and community engagement are cornerstones of our city's development.”
