Community Development Update: 180 day Moratorium

During the March 24th 2026 regular city council meeting, Mayor and Council, unanimously (5-0), adopted a 180-day moratorium on accepting certain applications, while the zoning ordinance rewrite is underway. The moratorium will impact the acceptance, processing, and approval of applications for zoning map amendments/rezonings, text amendments and conditional use applications.

Traffic Alert: Full I-285 Closure this Weekend

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will close all lanes of I-285 in both directions between MLK Jr. Drive and Cascade Road beginning Friday, July 31 at 7:00 PM through Monday, August 3rd at 5:00 AM.
