The City of Union City is proud to announce the return of the 13th Annual Pinktober Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Color Run, a community tradition dedicated to honoring survivors, remembering loved ones, raising awareness, and standing together in the fight against breast cancer.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, residents, families, teams, walkers, and runners of all experience levels are invited to fill the streets of Union City with energy, hope, and color. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m. at 5047 Union Street, Union City, GA 30291.
“Through events like our Breast Cancer 5K Color Run, we unite to honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand united in the fight for a cure. The Council and I are committed to raising awareness and supporting those impacted by this disease,” stated Mayor Vince R. Williams.
For 13 years, Pinktober has brought the Union City community together around a shared purpose. More than a 5K, the event provides an opportunity for neighbors, families, City leaders, employees, and community partners to celebrate survivors, support that currently battling breast cancer, and recognize the families and loved ones who continue to stand beside them.
This year’s Color Run will transform the course into a vibrant display of courage and community spirit. Participants will make their way through color splash zones along the route, with each burst of color representing the strength, resilience, and hope demonstrated by those whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.
The event also encourages healthy activity, early detection awareness, and meaningful community connection while creating an experience that participants of all ages can enjoy. Whether running for a personal best, walking in honor of a loved one, supporting a survivor, or simply joining friends and family for the morning, everyone has a place at the starting line.
Participants can look forward to an energetic race-day atmosphere featuring a warm-up, survivor recognition, music, photo opportunities, and plenty of encouragement along the course and at the finish line. Commemorative event items will also be available while supplies last.
Through Pinktober, Union City continues to Reclaim, Renew, and Reimagine community connection by creating opportunities for residents to come together around causes that matter.
Registration information and additional event details will be available at www.unioncityga.gov.
