Union City Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with the Return of Cultura y Sabor

 

An evening of culture, flavor, and community featuring live music, local vendors, and family fun at Eagles Nest Sports Complex

(Union City, GA) - Union City is excited to welcome back the Cultura y Sabor Food Truck Festival, a vibrant celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, on Friday, September 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Eagles Nest Sports Complex, 6245 Roosevelt Highway, Union City, GA 30291.

Meaning “Culture and Flavor,” Cultura y Sabor celebrates the traditions, cuisine, music, and cultural influences of Union City’s growing Hispanic community. The community event will bring residents and visitors together for an evening filled with food, entertainment, and opportunities to experience the cultures that continue to enrich Union City.

Attendees can explore a variety of local food vendors, including Hispanic-owned businesses, offering dishes inspired by flavors and culinary traditions from across the Hispanic and Latino community. Live music and cultural performances will complement the evening, creating an energetic atmosphere for guests of all ages.

“This festival is more than just an evening of great food and entertainment. It reflects who we are as a city, diverse, inclusive, and stronger because of the people who call Union City home,” said Union City Mayor Vince Williams. “The City Council and I are honored to celebrate the rich traditions, history, and culture of our Hispanic community through Cultura y Sabor.”

Union City officially recognized Hispanic Heritage Month with a proclamation in 2024, reinforcing the City’s commitment to celebrating the cultures and experiences represented throughout the community. Cultura y Sabor continues that commitment by creating an interactive celebration where residents can experience Hispanic culture through food, music, performance, and community connection.

The festival is open to all ages, and no registration is required. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come experience the festivities, discover new flavors, and support local businesses.

Cultura y Sabor is presented in collaboration with Fulton County Arts and Culture, whose continued partnership helps expand access to meaningful arts and cultural experiences throughout the community.
