Union City Launches First-Ever “Cultura y Sabor” Food Truck Festival to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
An evening of culture, flavor, and community featuring live music, local vendors, and family fun at Eagles Nest Sports Complex
(Union City, GA) - Union City is proud to announce its inaugural Cultura y Sabor Food Truck Festival, a lively celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, on Friday, September 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Eagles Nest Sports Complex (6245 Roosevelt Highway, Union City, GA 30291). The name Cultura y Sabor, which translates to Culture and Flavor, reflects the essence of the festival: honoring the rich traditions, vibrant cuisine, and lively spirit of Union City’s Hispanic community. Guests will enjoy an unforgettable evening of authentic food, cultural expression, and entertainment designed to bring people together in celebration.
The festival will feature local food vendors, many of whom are Hispanic-owned, serving a variety of cultural dishes that highlight the diverse flavors of the community. In addition to culinary offerings, live performances will add to the evening’s excitement, including music from Tulum, a Latin Pop and Acoustic Reggaetón group known for their fresh, energetic style.
“This festival is more than just an evening of great food and entertainment. It is a reflection of who we are as a city, diverse, inclusive, and stronger because of the people who call Union City home,” said Union City Mayor Vince Williams. “The City Council and I are honored to celebrate the rich traditions, history, and culture of our Hispanic community through Cultura y Sabor.”
Union City first recognized Hispanic Heritage Month with an official proclamation in 2024. This year, the city is building on that commitment by creating a hands-on experience where residents can taste, hear, and feel the culture that helps define Union City’s growing Latin population.
The festival is free and open to all ages. No registration is required. Community members are encouraged to stop by, enjoy the festivities, and support local businesses. This event is made possible in collaboration with Fulton County Arts and Culture, whose partnership continues to strengthen cultural programming and opportunities for residents across the region.
