Union City’s annual Fall Clean-Up Day became a city-wide celebration of community, teamwork, and civic pride as residents, neighborhood associations, and City staff joined forces to beautify shared spaces across Union City.
From city streets to neighborhood entrances, volunteers worked side by side with the Public Services Department and the Growing Together Committee to remove litter, refresh landscapes, and restore curb appeal. Their efforts embodied the spirit of Growing Together, an initiative designed to enhance neighborhoods and foster a cleaner, greener Union City.

Adding to the momentum, United Citizens for Renewal partnered with the Ravenwood, Lakeview, Valley Lakes, and Lake Overlook Communities to host a collaborative clean-up along Highpoint Road, aligning their event with the City’s Fall Clean-Up Day to maximize impact. The morning was filled with music from a community DJ, friendly faces, and a shared sense of purpose.
These combined efforts showcased the power of collaboration between residents, community organizations, and City departments. Each group played a vital role in demonstrating what civic engagement looks like when everyone works together toward a common goal.
The Growing Together initiative continues to lead the charge in beautification, sustainability, and community engagement. Through city-wide clean-ups, landscape enhancements, and collaborative partnerships, Union City is proving that progress truly begins with participation.
