The inaugural event brought together hundreds of residents, neighbors, and visitors for an evening filled with music, food, dance, and community spirit.

From the opening moments, Cultura y Sabor lived up to its name, which translates to Culture and Flavor. Guests were greeted by the vibrant rhythms of live performances that showcased the richness of Hispanic traditions. Local vendors lined the Eagles Nest Sports Complex, offering everything from authentic cuisine to handcrafted goods that highlighted the artistry and entrepreneurial spirit of the Hispanic community. Families filled the festival grounds, creating an atmosphere of joy, pride, and togetherness.

“This festival was more than just a celebration,” said Union City Mayor Vince R. Williams. “It was a powerful reminder of how culture and heritage strengthen our bonds as a community. The Council and I are honored to support this important milestone and look forward to seeing it grow into a tradition for years to come.”

The success of the event was made possible thanks to the partnership of Fulton County Arts & Culture, whose support helped bring world-class performances to the stage. The City also extends its gratitude to the many vendors, community partners, and volunteers who dedicated their time and talent to ensure the evening’s success.

The inaugural festival marks the beginning of a new tradition in Union City’s cultural calendar. By creating opportunities to showcase the diverse voices that make up the community, the City continues its commitment to building spaces where residents feel seen, celebrated, and united.

Union City thanks everyone who joined us for this unforgettable evening and invites the community to continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month throughout October. Together, we are building traditions that strengthen our identity and honor the cultures that enrich our city.
