Fall Planting Workshop

This hands-on workshop, hosted by the Growing Together Committee and led by Gibson Landscaping Company, gave residents the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of planting seasonal flowers.


B.C.A. Celebration Garden

In honor of those affected by breast cancer, the Growing Together Committee created a dedicated garden at Mayor's Park. This space not only beautified our landscape but also stands as a tribute to survivors and loved ones lost, create sense of resilience, hope, and unity within our community.


Fall & Spring Clean-Ups

The Fall & Spring Clean-Up event makes it easy for residents to dispose of unwanted household items, helping to clear out clutter and reduce waste. In total, we collected 99.38 tons of unwanted household goods, 500 tires, 30 loads of limbs, and 31,620 pounds of metal for recycling, making our community cleaner and more sustainable.


Kids Planting Class - Union City Summer Camp

A fun and educational event where children from the Union City Summer Camp got hands-on experience planting flowers and greenery with support from the Growing Together team and Gibson Landscaping. A great way to nurture environmental responsibility early on.


Holiday Tree Recycle Event

In collaboration with One for the Chipper, this event gave residents a sustainable way to recycle live holiday trees after the season. A small step with big environmental impact.

Fruit & Vegetable Gardening Workshop

Participants learned how to grow their own fruits and vegetables, with practical instruction on soil prep, planting, and harvesting-supporting both sustainability and healthy eating habits.


Union City Birthday Celebration Pop-Up

During the city's birthday celebration, the Growing Together team hosted a pop-up stand to raise awareness about the campaign. We distributed flower grow kits and connected with dozens of residents eager to learn more and get involved.
