Property Taxes
Tax Statements & Payments
The 2025 Millage Rate is 11.526 (10.858 M&O and 0.668 Bond)
What This Means for You:
- One Bill, One Process: Your Union City property tax will now appear on your Fulton County property tax bill—making things simpler and easier to manage.
- Earlier Billing of City Taxes: Fulton County has traditionally billed taxes earlier than Union City. Now that your City taxes are included on the County’s bill, you can expect to receive the city portion of your property tax bill sooner than in previous years.
- More Ways to Pay: Pay online, by mail, or in person at any Fulton County Tax Office location.
- Existing Exemptions: If you currently have any property tax exemptionson your city taxes (Regular Homestead, Disability, Disabled Veterans, or Senior Homestead), it will remain in effect through this transition. You do not need to reapply.
- Going forward, all new applications for Senior Homestead exemptions must be submitted directly to Fulton County. Union City will no longer process Senior Homestead exemption applications in-house.
- Delinquent Taxes: Any outstanding Union City property taxes for 2024 or prior years will continue to be collected directly by Union City. These balances remain subject to interest, penalties, and tax sale proceedings if not paid in full. The City will continue to mail out delinquent notices. Please visit the delinquent tax page for additional information.
